On January 15th, 2009 Samarkand Airways performed air transportation of bulky cargo en route Germany - Uzbekistan. The bulky aviation loader TEPLE CHAMP-70 weighted over 14 tons have been transported. 21.04.2008 During the period from 16 to 21 April, 2008 the Uzbekistan Championship in the Aircraft Modeling sport took place at Aranchi aerodrome at Tashkent region.
The team of model aircraft constructors from "Samarkand Airways" has won the 1-st place in the team competition category in the gliding and radio controlled aircraft models.

12.03.2008 Samarkand Airways performed the flight by IL-76 on transportation of gas turbine from Uzbekistan to Eastern Europe. The transportation has been arranged with thorough care in order to avoid any damage or breakage of this sensitive cargo and to the best satisfaction of the customer.

20.09.2007 Samarkand Airways representatives participated in Navoi airport presentation

During the period August 24-26, 2007 the Uzbekistan Cup on Aircraft Modeling took place at Aranchi aerodrome of Tashkent region.
The model aircraft constructors' team of Samarkand Airways has achieved the 1-st result in the team competition category on gliding and radio controlled aircraft models.
Samarkand Airways actively supports the model aircraft construction development in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The special attention and care are being paid to the young generation, for whom the study in the aircraft modeling club is fully sponsored by Samarkand Airways.

On August 03, 2007 Samarkand Airways celebrated its second anniversary. During this rather short period of 2 years the Air company has achieved significant success in the aviation market of the Central Asia and has worthy become the leader among the private air companies in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

21.06.2007 During the period from 21st to 24th June 2007 Samarkand Airways performed executive charter flight along the route Tashkent-Urgench-Bukhara-Samarkand-Tashkent by the comfortable aircraft Yak-40 (Salon) of business configuration. In cooperation with its partner - famous local tour operator, Samarkand Airway has arranged the fascinating trip along "the golden ring" of Uzbekistan - the ancient cities- Urgench (Khiva), Samarkand, Bukhara for the group of foreign tourists.

21.05.2007 During the period from 21st to 24th May 2007 Samarkand Airways performed daily charter flights in the territory of Ustyurt plateau of Karakalpakistan Autonomous Republic for one of the biggest Russian Oil & Gas Company for the purposes of air geophysical survey.

15-17.05.2007 Samarkand Airways delegation participated in Caspian Air Cargo Summit 2007, which took place in Baku (Azerbaijan)

On July 19, 2006 Samarkand Airways Il-76 Aircraft performed flight from Termez, Uzbekistan to Hahn, Germany and back to support ISAF mission based at Termez. The program of flights has been resumed after Samarkand Airways aircrafts has been equipped with EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System).
EGPWS is equipment installed in an aeroplane for the purpose of providing automatically a timely and distinctive warning to the flight crew when the aircraft is in potentially hazardous proximity to the earth's surface. In accordance with EASA (European Air Safety Agency) all the aircrafts flying to Europe have to be equipped with EGPWS equipment.
